Food Technology is a science branch that deals with the techniques involved in production, processing, preservation, packaging, labeling, quality management, and distribution of food products. The field also involves techniques and processes that are used to transform raw materials into food

Food and Bioprocess Technology provides an effective and timely platform for cutting-edge highquality original papers in the engineering and science of all types of food processing technologies, from the original food supply source to the consumer’s dinner table. It aims to be a leading international journal for the multidisciplinary agri-food research community.

Bioprocess is a technology that deals with the design and development of equipment and processes for the manufacturing of products such as agriculture, food, feed, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, chemicals, and polymers and paper from biological materials & treatment of wastewater. A bioprocess is any process that uses complete living cells or their components (e.g., bacteria, enzymes, chloroplast) to obtain desired products. This process is commonly referred to as Fermentation

Bioprocessing or biotechnology is used in the production of pharmaceuticals, foods, flavours, fuels and chemicals with the aid of a biocatalyst such as an enzyme, microorganisms, plant cell, or animal cell in a bioreactor. It also involves genetic engineering for the manipulation of plants, animals, and microorganisms such as yeasts, bacteria and fungi. Downstream processing is required to remove impurities, bulk-volume reduction and simultaneous concentration of the desired product from the bioreactor. Various steps deployed during downstream processing for recovering the final product in protein production are illustrated in Figure. Protein recovery is sensitive to operating conditions because their function depends on the integrity of the delicate 3D tertiary structure

Bioengineering is the application in which we use principles of engineering and life sciences to tissues, cells and molecules and matter. We use this knowledge to work and manipulate these principles to achieve a result that can improve functions in plants and animals, and their products. Either on industrial basis, agricultural basis, food production, pharmaceutical industries to chemical or green tech industries etc.For example: genetically modified organisms.

Journal of Bioprocessing & Biotechniques provides the rapid monthly publication of articles in all areas related to Bioprocessing and Biotechniques. Journal of Bioprocessing & Biotechniques welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. Papers will be published approximately one month after acceptance.
