Innate immunity system consists of cell and proteins that take on foreign invaders or microbes at the site of infection. Innate immunity is comprised of physical epithelial barriers, phagocytic leukocytes, natural killer cells, dendritic cells, natural killer cells and circulating plasma proteins. When the defence mechanism of innate immunity fails, adaptive immunity system comes into action.

There are two types of adaptive immunity responses namely: Humoral immunity, which is mediated by the antibodies produced by B lymphocytes and cell-mediated immunity mediated by the T-lymphocytes. Mucosal immunology is the science of the immunological response that occurs at the mucosal membranes of intestines, urogenital tract, respiratory systems etc. In the recent times, scientist is focusing on mucosal immunology research to better understand the system and make further advances.

Journal of Mucosal Immunology Research is one of its kind journals which focus solely on the mucosal immune system and the recent advancements taking place in the researches associated with it.

We welcome manuscript submissions covering all of researches related to mucosal immunity system.

Happening with this, the potential health hazards of these Nano materials upon entering human body gradually attract people's attention. Inflammation is one of major parts of toxicity for nanoparticles. Inflammation is an important mechanism to protect the human body from both exogenous and endogenous “danger signals”
